Encouraging Growth

As we transition to spring-like weather, it’s time to focus on a season of growth. We plant, water, and care for gardens, but their growth depends on factors outside of our control, including ample sun and good weather. We see something similar at the Mission. Through the care that we provide, we plant a seed, eagerly anticipate growth, and come alongside to support that process. We encourage the growth—God causes it (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).

We are committed to addressing issues that individuals are facing to help bring about change in their life—we want to see long term results, and not simply temporary fixes. Our staff comes alongside men in their time of crisis, providing support and encouragement. The physical and spiritual care they receive at the Mission allows true healing and recovery to take place.

When it comes to a transformed life, there is nothing unique about working with the poor and homeless. Social status makes no difference, as “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We know that the “wages of sin is death,” but thankfully, “the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). We believe that Christ died for sins—once for all—the righteous for the unrighteous (1 Peter 3:18), that by grace we are saved through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus is the only way to be saved, as “there is salvation in no one else” (Acts 4:12).

Our ministry is centered around this gospel message. We know that the only way to break free from sin’s grip is through salvation in Christ. While the world continues searching for solutions, we remain grounded in the truth of God’s Word.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us to reach others in a time of need—because of you, we are able to continue providing physical and spiritual care. We appreciate your continued support as we plant and water, and trust God to cause growth in the lives of those we serve!
